Don't really know much about the name brand, really sounds like a ricer knockoff. I like the look of the dual V2 titanium exhaust. I thinking about buying one but I want to make sure I'm buying a reputable exhaust system ( I wish HKS would put their Carbon Ti into their lineup for the S2k)...oh well. Just curious about the quality and sound.

 

i wouldn't say junk.. but i would stay away..... it's not worth the price they are charging....they use magnaflow mufflers and just put a custom piping on it... and they charge you 900 bucks...

They don't use magnaflow mufflers. I got a spugen single ( round version non TI) and it has a magnaflow resonator and buddy club muffler. There exhaust are nice quality stuff for the price and some of the best sounding. There customer service is excellent also. I've gotten compliments from other S2k Owners that have hks, invidia, T1R. So it's not junk. That's my .02 cents

 

anyone who is truely familiar w/ spugen would know they're not junk...VERY good for the price. i'm still debating between the spugen ti single exit and the t1r 60mm...and i've been thinking about this for months

that must of changed recently.. cuase they used to use magnaflow mufflers....

 

I have a spugen dual round with Ti tips. It is great quality. It uses the OEM resnonator and I am unsure of the muffler but haven't had any probs with'em. The drone however is quite loud. Most days (except the weekend) I keep the silencers in.

 

If you have not tried the exhaust you cannot call it Junk. I run Spugen with a buddy of Mine. We are a very reputible company, and have been very good to the s2k community. We offer quality products that s2000 owners can appreciate.

Try it before you speak on it. We have dyno results to prove what we can do.

im sorry, but im not going to pay 900 dollars to "try" a product. generally, when i spend that much money i'd like to atleast hear unbiased testimonials about the product before i purchase it.

 

As far as I know, the oval canisters with round tips have been, and still are, magnaflow mufflers. Frozty has the round canister.

 

The only gripe I would have regarding the system is the rusting.

 

Not bashing redat9, but, to the thread starter, why not just spend the money on something that you know for sure is going to be worth it....like the T1R.

 

I would get a name brand JDM system for that price.

 

spugen doesn't use magna flow mufflers anymore...they changed to buddyclub....they actually sound pretty good...but yea if u get a deal then it's ok...but i have heard of rust problems with their products

 

for 900 personally i would buy a t1r exhaust!!!!

 

If you have no first have no experience with any of the Spugen products then you have no grounds to judge.

the only issue with my exhaust was i drilled the Ti tip to fit a silencer... and the rivets we're slowly loosed from it. after re-riveting it again, its solid as hell. we really need a sound clip... sound GREAT.

 

thanks for the advice... where is a good place to check out the T1R and any sound clips?

 

I had the Spugen Single TI version that they have and loved it. No rust (only had it on for 2000 miles though) and it had an awesome sound. Got lots of compliments that the car never sounded ricey. Actually I have it for sale (it is at Full-Race from the turbo kit install) and I am asking $530 with no shipping charges. The exhaust weighed in at 18.5lbs.
