Last friday my boyfriend rear-ended somebody in my car. Its a 90 accord. Not much damage, we needed a new bumper, grille and hood latch. Everything else is pretty much fine, except that my a/c is now shaped like a half circle and is resting against my rad...Will I have problems with this? Nothing is actually "broken" per say but I would like to get it fixed eventually. Also what would the cost be for a new a/c compressor (I think thats the piece that is bent)?

 

Actually, the piece that bent is called the condensor. If it isn't leaking already, it may because it's bent and resting/rubbing againt the radiator. Also, the radiator may be at risk of leaking.

For a '90, the cost of replacing the condensor, which involves evacuating and recharging the AC system plus other parts like a filter/dryer, may be more than you want to invest in a car that old.

If you just want to drive it 'as is' for now, that's OK. Just keep an eye out for puddles of radiator fluid under the car every now and then, in case the radiator does spring a leak.

I know its an old car, but I only got it in august. Its kinda new to me, not even paid for yet... I hope nothing happens cuz I will have to get it fixed, I can't afford another car

 

If the A/C Condenser has been pushed back against the Radiator, you can expect problems down the road from either of them. They could start rubbing against each other, wearing thru and causing a subsiquent leak. It's in your best interest to have this addressed as soon as possible.
