2000 Accord SE transmission
I've got a 2000 Honda Accord SE and when slowing down, it seems like the transmission is downshifting before it should causing the engine to rev up. It does not do it all the time and seems to shift fine when accelerating. The check engine light is not on. Any ideas?
Mine did something like that (2000 SE).
It would run to 6k in a gear, stop making power at about 4k or whatnot, but it would hold onto the gear and then upshift and rocket me forward. I got a transmission replaced under warranty...hopefully yours is still under warranty because its' going to need at least repair if not replacment.
Have you checked the color of your Auto tranny fluid?

2000-2001 accords (all of them) are covered by a 7 year 100K trans warranty. Get that checked out asap cause it isn't normal.
