Its been five years now since I bought my integra and I have never balanced the stock wheels as of yet. I get a tiny steering wobble at very low speeds but at faster speeds no problem. Should I get a balance as it is relatively cheap to get done?

I believe you should get a balance and rotation every 500-1000 miles to prolong the life of your tires and to assure that it wears evenly, correct me if im wrong.

Umm I don't think so. That is too close of a time span and will result in too much time and money. I'll do that kind of driving on a weekend that I go home. 220 miles home plus another 220 miles back to school plus whatever I do over the weekend.

Rotation is more like 10,000 - 15,000. Balancing I'll do if I feel a vibration from it being unbanlanced. Chances are, any odd tire wear is from needing an alignment.

No you don't need an alignment after. You are not affecting the suspension at all by switching your wheels around. You need an alignment after touching suspension components, such as when you adjust your height.

lol.. somebody lied to you. go on and rotate!

 

1. You do NOT need an alignment everytime you rotate your wheels.
2. You can rotate your wheels as often as you would like, but they recommend between 3000-5000 miles. All you are doing is making your tires wear evenly.
3. And only balance your tires if you have a wobble at any speed.
4. Get an alignment if your car doesn't drive straight.

So after 5 years of driving, let say there is no wobble in the tire, would it be a good idea to balance the tire just to compensate for uneven wear(due to camber). What causes a wheel to go out of balance?

 

You're just wasting your money. If your tires are wearing because of camber, then you know what you have to fix, your camber. All balancing does is make sure the tires are on the rim correctly and if they're not wobbling/vibrating, they're still balanced. You're most likely getting camber wear because you never got an alignment after lowering your car, which also throws your toe out of spec. Negative camber + wrong toe = uneven tire wear. Get an alignment to adjust your toe to spec and you will greatly enhance the life of your tires and lessen "camber wear."
