Default installing a a/c in the crx si

i am installing an a/c in my 90 crx si cuz i don't have any heat nor cool air so i am hurting especially in florida. so i tried to install the heater core with the evap and everthing but the core does not fit properly. i got the part off a 90 civic at the junkyard. anyone know how to correct that or did an a/c install.....too friggin hot in florida

You need to get a piece from a car that had AC.

the under dash stuff is probably different between a civic hatch and a crx. get the same part but from a CRX.

The plastic housing for the evaporator assembly is different for AC and non AC cars. I know when you take the evap. out, you need to either replace it or fill in the holes (with duct tape usually, JDM duct tape). I doubt you can make it fit in the non-AC piece because it's too small AFAIK.

I was able to replace the heater core and blower motor using parts from a 91 Civic into my 88 CRX HF. And for the A/C bypass, I just used a CRX OEM tube. I had a little difficulty getting the Heater Core to fit in, but it did.
