Default Electrical Issue Please Look...searched!

Ok, heres the deal. I'm having some electrical issues with my 90 hatch.
dash lights dont work, taillights dont work...same with driving lights. The fuse isn't blown. I even replaced it with another but still no luck. I just get no power to those things and it sucks cuz i cant drive at night. Is there a relay or breaker of some sort that controls those things? Is there a method to tracing shorts in the system? Any input is appreciated. Thanks in advance.

You are probably grounding out under your dash? Was the car a hack job when you got it? Had a shitty alarm at some point?

My 93 Sr-V grounds out once in a blue moon from a shitty alarm. Kills the engine.

Yeah, You definately have a wiring problem, I might be able to get you a wiring diagram if you want one. Do you know how to diagnose an electrical circuit with a volt meter?

check your dash dimmer switch (should be on left side of dash) pull it out and make sure all your wires are connected. I had same problem and went searchin, pulled it out and one wire was loose, re-connected it and it worked. try that and see

Shiet well i forgot to look up a wiring diagram i'll try to do that tm.
check for high resistances over connectors/clips as well as voltage drop over things like the dimmer switch,
voltage drop is when you test to see how much voltage is lost is a specific portion of your circuit you need to do that test with the power on.
put the positive and neg probes on either side of what you wanna test
but put the positive lead on the "more positive" side of what you are testing, just like resistance/ ohm check
this can sometimes pick up things that the ohmmeter cannot.
your voltage drops should be less than .5 all around basically, there may be some exceptions, like things with lamps in them

Good luck
