Default J4d LSD? Type r transmission?


Is the J4D LSD the itr transmision? US or JDM? And what the final drive on it? Thanks!

so wait a second, the transmission in the picture below is 98 spec JDM?



I ask because it is in a 97 4 door ITR I just purchased. I can tell it's a 97 because it has the old style ABS, and does not have OEM HID.

yes, the N3E indicates that it has a 4.785 final drive which is "98 spec"

unless you have pulled that transmission, from the pics, you can tell its been off before. it may be just for a clutch, but maybe because it was swapped out

it has definitely been pulled. you can see that the car is a 96-97 spec because it has the old style ABS, cast iron header, non-hid headlights, etc..., but the transmission clearly says "N3E" on it which only came in 98+ jdm ITR's, so the transmission has been swapped out for sure.

car only has 55k km on it which is like 34k miles so that is really weird that it got removed and replaced.

tranny bolts and slave cylinder bracket bolts have markings evident of being pulled and put back on before. those are signs of pulling a tranny out to me
