Air/Fuel guage not jumping anymore
Hey guys. I have an unusual problem with my car and perhaps you can give me some suggestions on out to fix it. Car is a 98 honda civic dx
A while back I was removing my intake and a section fell on my battery arcing the + and - terminals. Every since then my Air/fuel guage doesn't bounce around anymore (just stays on lean or nothing most of the time "shrug") and the car's fuel milage seems worse. Here is a list of things I have done since the arc and no changes have shown as far as fuel economy and my air/fuel guage.
I"ve swaped out motors and have my GSR motor in (building a motor currently is why)
Put in a completley different engine bay harness and new ecu (GSR one of course)
Changed O2 senser
Replaced Air/fuel gauge
Replaced/checked all grounds to motor
I just can't think of anything else to change out to fix problem and I need to address these prio to putting in a new motor that I've spend some coin on lol.
Thanks in advance for the feedback

You fried something in your ECU and probably running in limp mode. Replace the ECU and be more careful next time. Always disconnect your battery if you work with metal in your engine bay.
Might also be your Distributor.

well the guage worked great till then and I have even changed it out.....my fuel milage went from around 33 mpg to around 26. This is becoming fustrating.....is their anyway it may be my wire harness in my cabin area?
those cheap af ratio gauge made by autometer are really good at determining if your o2 sensor is still working. when you are at wot, it should not bounce around. when you are at part throttle, it should bounce around. if you are at part throttle and it is not bouncing around, then it might be your o2 sensor that is at fault.
replace o2 sensor, just to see.
