worst weekend everrrrrr
well so on friday night i hit a deer, and dented up my fender and broke the corner light. Okay, not that big of a deal, i found replacement parts for $75 with no dents and its the same color paint.
Well saturday night, some kids decided it'd be okay to destroy some cars. So I ended up with $3200 worth of damage because i need two new rear doors. This is where my question comes in. I'm going to get new doors off the same car i got the fender off i hope, as long as there electric, but how do i go about doing the electrical parts? Like removing the wiring and then connecting it back up to the new door. Both the old dented door, and the new door are electric.

You can use your current door parts and what not. Just make sure you are careful removing your current parts.

rear doors all it is plug and play you may have to remove your rear door pannels and run the wires out the door but it all unplugs and plugs right back where you found it lol
I stripped my 95 Accord down to part it after I totalled it. My girls brother and I started by taking off the door panels, then we removed the plastic covering that covers the inside of the door. From there, we just unplugged everything and pulled it through the opening in the door. Not hard at all.
Later though, when I went to remove the entire harness from the car... I want to say I removed the rubber boot that covered the harness where it went through the pillar and found that there was a big plug that plugged the door harness into the wire harness in the car. Just like the front doors have, except I believe on the front doors the wire harness plugs in at the door instead of at the pillar.
I'm almost positive there is a plug there to just unplug the entire door harness from the car. Which would make things extremely easy. Just unplug the harness, remove four bolts, pop the pin out and the door comes off.
Like I already stated, I'm not exactly sure if there was a plug like that since it's been a while, but I'm pretty sure there was cause I want to say I got mad for not finding that when we removed the doors and we wouldn't have had to go through the trouble of removing the wiring from the door.
Just take a look where the harness goes through the pillar and see if you find a big plug. If not, just remove everything before removing the door.

How did they damage both doors? Were they caught? If so, go after them or their parents for $$$. And file a police report if you haven't already, often when kids do something like this, somebody will talk and they get caught after a week or so if they haven't already been caught.
its a sticky situation. i already called the police but they said it wasn't them (even though i know it was) and i have no proof to show the police.
fixed her up. New Doors and fender for 350 from a junkyard. Doors and fender look awesome, hardly scratched/dented. And yeah, there is a big plug and all i had to do was unplug it and plug in the new doors and it worked.

ah, ok, so I was right. I bet that made things much easier. Glad to hear you got everything back together and looking good.

haha. i shouldn't say that, i accidently flashed a gun and put some brass knuckles on when i saw what happened to my car. needless to say they ran before i could deal with them. And no i wasn't going to hit them or shoot them. it was just to scare them
