im in sf and they go for about 25 per offense. Front license plate ticket can be a bitch.

 

usually the front plate and clear corners can be written off by a cop for $10 each, and for your exhaust you can probably explain to the judge that new bill written into law just recently

 

 

$25 each for the front license and clears, that muffler ticket is bullcrap, there is no way in hell the cop can measure decibels, he's just guessing. why all the ticket, he just pulled you over for all that, what were u doing? driving or parked somewhere?

 

The laws should be the same all over Cali...basically the clear corners and the front plate are fix-it tickets...the exhaust you will probably have to show that it is legal, so hopefully it has a CARB #...if it doesn't, you are going to have to take it off and get it signed off...that should be a fix it ticket too though. Depends on how the citation was written up...so it could be a citation or a fix-it ticket...hopefully the fix-it. If they are all fix-it tickets then you are only going to have to pay one $15 dismissal fee after you fix everything and you should be good.

 

go to a local Highway patrol office and they will right off ur fix. Were u reving hard when the cop pull u over?, or were u driving casualy?
if u were reving hard, u can probably get away w/ out changing ur exhaust.
the fee for all fix it tickets are 10$.
i know i got 1 just like u, minus the illegal lighting.

 

I don't the front plate is a "fix it" ticket anymore. I THINK starting this year it is a $1xx.00 fine and you do NOT need to get pulled over for it. DPT can issue it to you when you are parked, thats what the DPT guy told me... I almost got one.

 

i agree w/ this. i think as of jan 1 2002, no front license plate became a non-fix it ticket b/c they put up these cameras at stoplights to catch people who run reds now.
buddy of mine also got a ticket for no front license plate while his car was at long term parking at LAX. he was a bit pissed. hehe (this was before jan 1, 2002 though)

 

DUDE, this happened to me just earlier this year. Like 2 months ago. Waste of $25 bucks. I only parked there for an hour too! WTF!

 

is this really true about $125 fine for no front license?!! is there a resource on the net to check this? hmmm i might need to put mine back, dammit!
