I did that. I wished I had taken pictures of the fab but I'm lazy that way. All I did was take some 1" wide flat steel stock and welded it onto the pan to attach the outside rail (stock EF rail) and modified the stock EF rail for the inner. The inner one fits up with just some minor modification and the outer fits easily with some careful alignment and shimming. Take your time and get familiar with a MIG welder (or blow someone that is :-)

Good luck

Why do you want the DA seats? Get some CRX Si seats, they bolt right in and are better. Also you can order foam to fix your Si seats, but you have to get it from outside the US, AKA Canada. Also, if you want to use the DA seats, why not just get the allen key to take the thing apart?

Maybe you should read. Since you said it has an allen key that holds it together, I suggested you get the allen to take it apart. What's wrong with that? I don't know what the seats look like, and I did read your post, it sounds like the problem is you can't take the seat pans apart, so get the right tool and you can. If that doesn't help, maybe you should post up some pics so it's more clear than your neanderthal english. If you search and everyone says swap the seat pans, then chances are pretty good it's possible to do. If you're going to be a dick, nobody is going to help you. In the other thread about this you accused the only guy who had actually swapped the pans of post whoring.

Look man, I didn't say you messed up, I just didn't understand your explanation. I was trying to help, I don't know what tools you have in your garage, and it wouldn't be surprising if you didn't have one considering the kind of ghetto-rigging we see here every day on HT. You don't need to be a dick, I was trying to help. You're not making me feel dumb, I don't know about this because I haven't needed to put DA seats in my car, and I don't ever plan on it, since I have Si seats, and if I didn't I would get some from another CRX and do it right. You're so ******* smart kid, figure it out, keep treating people like **** and see how much help you get.

I did it on my lil bro crx. really is a pain, well i guess i took the most difficult way, but anyways, i took the sliders/rails from the DA and chopped them where the top side is bolt on and welded to the bracket.. So i cut that, then took the crx slider/rail, weld it on there. and done.. The ONLY thing is that to align them back to the floor pan it takes a bit of muscle but other than that i like them. they seem to be nice.

You're SOL then.

I just put DA seats in my '89 Sedan....you definitely need to weld.

I did kinda a cheesey job but it seemed to work well....I used one of the runners from the civic and for the other one I used the DA runners and cut it so it only used 3 of the bolts and then propped up the other corner with a 1/2 in peice of rubber and screwed that to the floor....it really worked well I thought and it didn't take long....but this was in a cheesey POS car....but I did a good job of hiding it

If you dont have a welder you can take it to any muffler shop and as long as you mark EXACTLY where you want it welded they will do it for you, just make sure you test the welds before putting the seat in the car.

Altima has a good idea.

Also, grind down all the material before you weld it. Then mark it with a sharpie or something on the bare metal. Then have them weld it up.

Muffler shops have this bad habit of not cleaning anything before they start trying to weld
