Anyone use Brad Penn oil? Kendall? Any of you guys from the PA area, read!!
Ok, so does anyone here have experience with Brad Penn oil, what used to be Kendal (green stuff). I have a few friends who used to use it with great success. One of them runs a couple of pulling tractors w/ 3 alcohol fueled supercharged 600 cubic inch motors, and the other is a racing buddy w/a 408 69 camaro. Jason (guy w/pulling tractors) ran this oil with better success than any other, he said the alcohol didn't mix w/the oil like it did others, and "foam" them. Chris told me that he was in the process of trying out new oils for his motor and tried Castrol, Penzoil, and something else (can't remember) all at 20 50 weight. The castrol and other oil, whatever it was, idled about 58 lbs of oil pressure, then dropped to 28 ish after a 1/4 mile pass. The penzoil idled about 58 and dropped to about 18 after a pass. The Brad Penn (what was kendal then) idled about 60 and dropped to 52 psi after a pass. I guess basically Kendal sold the name to some cheaper company who put their shitty oil in Kendals packaging to sell it. Jason went through 3 motors on the new oil w/in a month of the switch. The new "kendal" is black, and not worth a damn from what I've heard.
However, back to the original, the factory is still open in Bradford Pennsylvania i believe, and now the oil is called Brad Penn. I would really like to know anything you guys know about this oil and how it performs in a boosted application. I'm in the process of finishing up my new setup and would like to run a great oil from the start. From the minimal amount it seems to break down, it could be great news for a high hp FI honda.
I also have found that the only way we can buy it from a distributor in PA is to buy a skid of 32 cases, and i'm not sure if we have enough local interest to do that. So, would any of you PA guys be interested in picking some up and shipping it to me if worse comes to worst? I belive the surrounding PA area is the only place it is available as of now, correct me if i'm wrong

thanks, bump for info... think i may have gotten my hands on some, gonna try it. Everyone I've spoken with says it's amazing and unlike any other oil, along with being a conventional oil...crazy
Until Kendal started blending other oils with the Penn stuff it was always my first choice.Your right about the alcohol.I was working with alcohol big block Chevy circle track cars and it was the best choice by far.I've gotten away from the "green stuff" but I have see the Brad Penn display at the trade shows and always think about going back to using the stuff.Give it a shot.

I'm going to, I have a friend who is going to become a distributor (there is only one other distributor in KY). My friend has a couple of pulling tractors, and also dragraces with us, and we have a group of guys who all run pretty high hp cars so he's going to go ahead and buy a skid of it. That's the only way we can get it. I may be able to offer some up for sale on here if anyone is interested... supposed to be the best ****, period!

A lower level company bought the kendall name, and package their **** oil in it. Brad Penn is still the same stuff and now it's just called Brad Penn oil, from what I know of it it is unlike any other oil on the planet
