How long did it run before it died? Did it make any sounds before it bogged down and died?

no no i did not **** them off...its a great reputible shop. A business friend if anything

anyways...um. i would have to say no i t didnt make any weird noises. Juss one thing...my dumb *** wasnt paying attention and let it hit the rev limiter for a second and then thats when it started to bog and slow it self down. I know im stupid for not paying attention, when i try to turn it over it doesnt make any weird clanking noises liek soemthigns brokin.

Should i check cel light??

to my knowledge if you check the CEL code and the light stays solid your ecu has a major internal error. if your jumping the service connector and then turn the ignition on and it stays lit up your showing a code 0 which is a ecu malfunction.

actually i dont think so. Ive read a couple write ups, and they state that if the cel stays lit there are NO problems. I believe if the CEL light shuts off the ECU is the problem. Anyoen else have an opinion?

Also i took the valve cover off and looked at the belt, it looks like the timing belt wants to role off. What could cause that?? This week im gogin to chnage the mual tensioner and the timing belt to be sure. Anythign else to check?

If you have the service connector shorted out, turn the ignition key on, and the CEL stays lit, there's something wrong with the ECU. Check out a helms manual.

I'd start by pulling the negative battery terminal or the clock/radio fuse to reset the ECU. If that doesn't work, check your wiring or try a different ECU.

Good luck

Soooooo what your trying to tell us is that when the light comes on, there is no problems but if the light goes off there is a problem? You have that twisted.

If the light comes on at all there IS a problem. The check engine will flash the code to you but if it just stays on then the ecu is not working correctly. If the light comes on and then shortly turns off and stays off then there is no problem, it is telling you that the ecu is reporting errors correctly.

p.s.
<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">Ive read a couple write ups, and they state that if the cel stays lit there are NO problems. I believe if the CEL light shuts off the ECU is the problem.</TD></TR></TABLE>

That is the most rediculous statement ever, if there is no problems the ****** light doesnt come on! Think of what you are saying. The light coming on and then turning off is the ecu checking for and errors like i previously stated, how can it do that if its broken? it cant, it stays lit.

ok so i hooked up the old ecu(h23) and the CEL light(with service cnnector jumped) still stays on. And im, sure that theres nothing wrong with that ecu. Corect me if im wrong, but does the ECu erase its memory of any past ISSUes when you reset the ECU via radio fuse or pulling battery plug? Cuz i reset the ecu before doing the service connector diagnosis. Would that defeat the perpose of finding out the COde that its throwing?

check your map sensor first....

but a solid CEL is a bad ecu....period....

you could have blown a fuse or something....check it all....random stuff can go wrong....
