crx vs. civic hatch
Well I've owned my hatch for a little under a year now. No serious problems other then what you would expect from a 16 year old car. Its a 90 Si and I was really into it just until recently. I am boosting my d16a6 and then sometime by the fall I either want an obd1 d16z6 swap, dohc zc swap, or LS swap. Plan on autocrossing this summer as well.
I kind of want to trade/sell it and go for a crx. Mostly because of looks I would say, crx's just look so sweet. Anyone ever been there? Like rex's better? Like hatches better? Have reasons? Any advantages to one or the other? Let me know... what would you rather drive?

this went indepth before. I THINK someone said a hatch was better for autox b/c of the wheel base but i could be way off. The crx is lighter but not by much,Oh yeah hatches are better

if you are going to turbo an engine and autox you want a hatch
turboed hatch=sm
turboed crx = sm2
you might have a change in sm, you have no chance in hell in sm2. not that it matters because either way autox is fun as hell.

well yeah, I hate to give rides too lol
it also depends,,,,,,
it depends, for me, USDM, the hatch looks better, and the JDM crx looks better than the JDM hatch

yeah today i pictured my hatch white, jdm front, with some rota gt3s red with chrome lip... yeah i'd rock rotas. or mugen mr5s... if i win the lotto that is.
I always viewed the CRX as a chick car kinda like the MX3 Precidia or a Miata. Just not my style hatch's all the way. You can't beat the functionality of the hatch either.
Hmmm... well i have had two hatchies and was considering buying a CRX but i dunno i just love the hatchback style... so i went and bought a 1990 Si hatchback. So in my opinion i would stay with your hatchie and dont giv it up...

There are a lot more hatches out there, if you're into looks and being rare, the CRX is better. About the passengers, I like having the CRX because my friends never want to borrow it, it's useless to carry people, and they think you can't fit much in the back either. Talk to anyone who's sold a CRX and doesn't have one, they regret it. If it puts you in a higher class in AutoX, it means it's a better car. I wouldn't say buy a Buick so you are in a less competitive class, the classes are in place to make it more or less fair to everyone. Plus, the CRX dash/console is so sexy... I love my rusty squeaky CRX, wouldn't trade it for 2 pristine hatches.
I've owned both as like many of you and the CRX is the way to go. For some reason the civic hatch was kinda cheap looking exteriour and interiour wise. I didn't like that thing that much, but loved my CRX. The hatch was an SI and the CRX was an HF.
When I get my next EF it WILL be a CRX for sure. No exceptions.
