Default EP3 Type-R and VTM

Hi guys;

I got e-manage blue installed on a 2002 Civic Type-R, according to the service manual the car has a VTM sensor, while according to Greddy wiring diagrams they mention nothing about it, I tried running the emanage without it but CE came on, if I connect emanage to ECU pin B9 "should be vtm pin" vtech point doesn't change, so plz I would appreciate all help possible.

regards
Nabil

Nabil: It's been a long time since I was in Lebanon -- our president sent me there on board an aircraft carrier 22 years ago. Very different times. I take in from your post and the fact that you have a Civic Type R in Beirut that things are a lot better in Lebanon now. Good.

Regarding your problem, we in the United States were never able to buy EP3 Type R's. That makes if difficult to diagnose an electronics-exhaust emission problem over the Internet. Someone here may be able to assist you, but I recommend instead that you post your question on the British website devoted to Civic Type R's. I think the cite is "CivicTypeR.co.uk" but I'm not at home to look it up for you. I'll check back later today to see if I've given you the correct Internet address. Good luck.

Sorry, Nabil, I haven't any experience with "emanage blue," nor have I seen it advertised here in the U.S. You mentioned Greddy, a U.S. company. Did you purchase the engine management component from them? If so and you don't receive any solid advice from http://www.civictype-r.co.uk regarding your CTR, I recommend you ask Greddy for advice. In fact, you might want to start with Greddy. As you probably know, trying to sort out electronic engine management components without prior experience can easily cause expensive problems.

This is a pretty active website, so I'd give it a couple of days to see if someone else has had experience with "emanage blue."
