NDRA will not allow h2b kit in any of the street class'.
all heads up street class rules state: stock drvetrain configuration required, factory available oem transmission. modifications limited to what fits completely within stock transmission and bellhousing.
the last line line meaning no adapter plates.

isn't what the GM cars or doing exactly that - using a tranny not found with a stock car and an adapter plate in the setup?
i think what they mean is it must be of the same oem manufacturer as the car being raced, and utilize an oem case

adapter plate does not fit within the trans or bellhousing. it is an external modification.

Flywheel adapters have been used for many many years....w/o the need to be SFI approved....but the manufacturer should be able to tell you wether its been engineered properly to withstand a certain RPM and MASS......

if you were get really technical about it, you should only be able to use a b16 tranny with a b16... not with a b18 etc.
