Timing Belt Service for 2001 Honda Accord
I'm approaching that 105,000 mile service. Should I let Honda dealership do it or some other place? The Honda dealership here is charging $539 for that with changing all other belts, water pump, radiator flush, gaskets etc. Is that a good deal? Some give advice because I'm not the mechanically inclined person to do it myself.
Thanks.....even tho, I'm gonna be hurtin afterwards....LOL Might have to put that on the old credit card....or at least half....LOL But so you're saying, it's not safe for any other place to do it?
Just take it to honda, those independent shops can probably do it. but at honda those guys do it all the time and if its a V6 then you should really take it to honda. those can be a little tricky. the reason why its 750 for you man is because theyre probably gonna do a valve adjustment.
6th gen cars under normal driving conditions is 105K for all engines.
Labor sux up here and you are right, only let honda mess with your car. It may be expensive but if you ever have problems, it a lot easier to get them taken care of with HOA if you are always using a dealer for service......
