Hooking up light for oem spoiler
I installed an oem spoiler on my 96 accord today and had a question about hooking up the light on it. First off, my car did not come with a spoiler and I bought this spoiler on ebay. The spoiler is oem certified, except, I believe, for how the light hooks up. In the directions, it says to tap, ie splice, into the light wire going to the brake light in the back. I took off the cover to my tail light, yes they are not stock tail lights, and saw three wires going to the brake light bulb. My question is, would I be correct in assuming that I would need to tap into the that top black wire going into the bulb to allow the brake light to work? Or should I tap it at another spot? The light comes with a positive an negative terminal (it sort of looks like a speaker wire). Stupid question, but which one would I connect to that tap? I'm assuming the positive one, but then where would I hook the negative to?

on my car the spoler plugs directly into the rear brake light plug so i doubt that it is a true oem model.
