OK to wire 3 sensors to 791xv sensor input?
I have a 791xv about to go in and I wanted to know if adding tilt and motion sensors to the shock sensor wiring will be ok. Will it be just as effective as have 3 sensor ports?
I have been having 2nd thoughts about putting this in, mainly because i dont feel i need/want the remote start anymore.
Would a 5000 be better for utilizing 3 sensors, aside from the easier install?

The DEI tilt sensor will still have to be hard wired because it's plug connector doesnt match the input on the Viper 5000 (or it doesn't even come with a connector, i forget. But it's three wire..). The DEI motion sensor may be a direct plug n play, on the other hand this sensor sucks *** and you should get a Crime Guard AU94T from Crutchfield and hardwire it in instead. The DEI glass breakage sensor will work fine on either the 791XV or the 5000, and you will not lose the shock sensor on either. It also reports the correct zone, while as any other sensor you hardwire in is going to report the zone that you spliced it in to. Speaking of which, when you splice them in, diode-isolate the trigger and soft trigger wires, and run each to their own individual power, or two sensors to a power wire, but don't branch them all off of the shock sensors 22 gauge power wire. Use the orange ground-when-armed wire to ground the sensors.
In other words I suggest the DEI glass breakage sensor over the DEI motion sensor. If you want a motion sensor, get it from crutchfield.
If you're not going to use the remote start, you're better off selling that alarm and getting another because the 791 uses a group of thick gauge wires for the remote start that will be an undue annoyance. I'm considering swapping out my alarm for a remote start, but I'm very hesitant to go with the 791XV because the remote start satellite module and those thick *** wires make a stealthy install a very precarious proposition.
