Why would you want the ITR 4 lug? It makes your rims very limited. At least there is an abundance of 5 lug wheels.

I personally wouldn't do the ITR 4 lug. Not worth the hastle.

i believe the '96 R brakes are 10.3" like any other civic/integra so 14" wheels should fit... if you can find some that are 4x114.

how would that be a waste .

he wants to run the type r 15s and he also has some slicks that he runs on a 14" rims . seeing as the rims he has are 4x100 , after he does the 4x114 swap im going to give him 2 of my accord steelies for he slicks

why not just keep the 4x100 slicks and buy some new wheels?

At least by going with the 5 lug you can have a wide selection of wheels, AND people will notice. The 4 lug R wheels will always be "nice Hx rims", UNLESS it's an actual 96 R.

I wouldn't take the set-up if it were free

To each their own. I'm not stopping you from doing it, just trying to shed some light.

Well if you knew what you were looking at then you could obviously tell the difference between the Type R's and HX's.

Hahah.......you guys crack me up. In passing, or across an intersection at a standstill you aren't going to notice anything. Just MAYBE you'll differentiate the 15in wheel. It might standout a little at some kind of car show, but to be honest, I don't think anyone would really care. The HX has a similar appearance, it's not exactly a night and day difference.........and since we are talking about APPEARANCES b/c that's pretty much the only reason for this swap, then an appearance opinion is valid reason not to get it. And since when can't you paint wheels? Idiot.

4x100 is just as "dopeshit" as 4x114

the reason I want to do this swap is the upgrade on the brakes on my Rex, the rims are just an added bonus. The price is right for the swap the reason I'm asking the question is when I go to the track I run drag radials, I bought a brand new set last year with only three passes on them it's not for rim selection or any other ricy looking crap

We're not saying it's ricey, just not worth the money. For relatively cheap you can upgrade your stock brakes. If you're dead set on getting them then go ahead. As for 14 in steelies, if they fit over GSR brakes, then yes, they will work for you.

Yeah real bad wheel selection for the 4x114 :jerkoff:

There are plenty of 4x114 wheels around....don't be an ***.

On topic - Be differant..i'd rock the **** out of the 4-lug ITR setup, better brakes and not average.

The wheels are for sale in this guys thread, used as an example.

Tho those who say 4lug is gay are probably running 4x100 and kinda which they could get that conversion.

I wanted to run 4x114.3 on my EF to fit my SRV rims. It sounds gay and pointless, but it would be different. I could also rock out my RPO-J1 from Enkei...17lbs rim for a 17 inch rim, 8 inches wide too. Very nice rim. I was gonna buy a 15 inch set of them for a 4x100 but they were asking too much.

Considering I'm pretty sure the brakes are the same size as GSR's, I guess that makes you really "different." 96's are only 10.3 (10.4) and not the 11.1's. SO if the advantage for doing this is brakes, then a very decent 11.1 set-up can be had brand new for relatively cheap.

Wonderful, you found some rims for sale. I never said impossible, just not as much of a selection. It appears that this guy is also on a budget so i would assume those wheels might be out of the question .......I could be wrong though.

You guys need to relax. IF this guy is getting a killer deal, then go for it. If not then, you are better off taking a different route to get bigger brakes. If it's for the wheels..........then I'm sure there has to be SOMETHING out there besides 96r wheels that tickle your fancy.

I don't think you can read. No one said four lug is ghey, just not economical. What's wrong with 4x100? I have them. 5 lug is kind of neat b/c you at least get the 11.1 rotors and everyone knows what in the world they are looking at when they see 5 lugs. I'll admit my ricer side has an itch to get the 5 lug, but spending $1000 for some bigger brakes is iffy for me.
