Default Carbon Fiber hood quaility

Im looking for a carbon hood to fit the SIR front on my crx.
I can think if three brands: Siebon, Fiber images and VIS. From these brands i want to gauge the quality

From experience on EFs, how do these brands compare? any fit really shitty or well? and who's running hood pins and who's not?

Thanks

i wanted a fiber images, but it literally took forever. I got sick of waiting and just had them send me a ViS. It's no fiber-images, but it's still good. I didnt have any fitment issues with it.

I have Fiberimages SiR style and I have no complaints. I've seen the Vis sir hood and it was also nice and fit pretty nice. The Vis has webbing under the hood and the FI is slightly lighter I believe b/c there is no webbing. I chose to run pins for safety's sake. I don't like'em but I don't like a smashed windshield either.

Are you completely happy with your purchase of a vis?

I have seen fitment issues with both, sometimes it unfortunately happens. Just be sure wherever you purchase from will stand behind the hood and gaurantee fitment, again I like fiber Images more but they tend to be a little more pricey.

I have the fiber images.
Very light.
Good fitment.
No hood pins.
I have had it for 3 years now.

Hood number 147 I believe.

i had a vis, and liked it. then it got stolen so i am looking for a new hood. fiber images looks like a better bet for my setup as it seems like it would have a bit more room underneath without the webbing, and i need all the room i can get. can anyone recommend a good vendor for one? east coast nyc area that allows pickup would be a huge plus.

My hood has popped open while driving but I was saved by the safety latch. After that I install the pins. I may need to adjust my latch a little, but even then its a matter of trial and error before my hood smashes my windshield. The pins are a great saftey feature.

I did forgot to post this earlier but I have 4 friens that bought VIS hoods at different times and they have all had them between 2-4 years and all 4 have cracked clear coat which looks like somebody keyed the hood, it sucks! I have never seen Fiber Images or Seibon do that.
