remote broken, car is locked, alarm is on HELP
ok long story short, the remote went through the washer. and now it doesnt work at all. i know if i key in, the alarm will go off, and the car wont start. can i unplug the battery? will that work and shut it off? does the stock acura alarm have battery backup? will it reset everything?
please i need help fast, i have to be at work in less then an hour.

ok i pulld the negative terminal, and it shut the alarm off, but when i put it back, the alarm comes right back on. is there a way i can by pass this thing?
Maybe try starting it several times and see what happens, like turn the key on and off several times. Unless you can find the alarm and bypass it, but you'd have to be good with wiring to do so without breaking something. Other possibility, try drying out the remote really well and put a new battery in and cross your fingers.
in your acura documentation there should be an id # for your remote control
if i were you though, i would unplug the battery the remove all the connectors from your security module (located under the drivers seat). Hook the battery back up, try to start it, and cross your fingers
no promises though...

find your valet switch or button, put your key in the ignition, put to on position and hold the switch, then turn key off and let go of button. or hold the button turn the key to on then off, let go of button. pm me if more help needed
wish you guys replied sooner, lol. i was an hour late to work, but i got it figured out. i just unhooked all the connections going to the alarm box, then hooked the ignition back to stock. i guess thats what that little button is for then huh? i thought it didnt do anything. ill eventually get to the dealership and get a new remote, but for now the car starts just fine.
