Just got off the phone with my dad about my car well he says it doesnt want to start all the time like its picky. He also told me that the other day alarms said the truck was open but it was closed he played witht he remote for a while locking and unlocking then said it was locked. With the doors they lock sometimes quick but he says sometimes they take a little longer then they should. Witht he starter he told me he heres it clicking but no start/ignition. My question is you think the alarm is badly wired or is the start going out? btw the new bottom end when the car actually starts runs great as im told 2.0L typer

Sounds like you need a new/recharge battery for the car.

As for your truck , the hood was opened at the time. (Some alarms dont have a hood trigger input, so the installer probably connected the hood to the trunk trigger input and forgot to add the diode to it)

Pending on what alarm you have also, it will keep the settings you have programmed until the battery in the brain of the alarm has died, then it will go back to it's default settings.

When the battery is low, your alarm will act all silly. True story.

 

thanks ill have my dad get a new battery if that isnt the problem i will have him take it somewhere to check out the alarm if i keep having trouble im just going to get a new one
