Just curious and I need a quick response, never had to work on a 5spd before. And I have the Slave and ordering the release fork right now. Need to know what holds them together. A Part # would be nice!
BTW: this is on a 97 EX tranny.

There is no part number persay. The slave cylinder has a little piston that gets pushed out and pushes the shift fork to the clutch. And the slave cylinder connects to the block with 2 bolts right under your engine stamp.
Your slave cylinder should have came complete.

Ummmm absolutely nothing.
Theres a piston with a round ball on the end that pushes onto the fork, the constant pressure keeps it in place.
Unusual question but valid if you've never messed with a 5spd before.

Alright thanks. I haven't taken a good look at the slave cylinder since I got it. But I'll definately take a look tomorrow. I could swear it looked like it needed some sort of clip or something. I don't know. I feel incredibly stupid right now.
It's cool though. But thanks for such a quick response guys. I needed a quick one because I'm ordering the final misc small parts/bolts I need off of hondaautomotiveparts.com

Yep no proplem, if you take off that rubber boot you'll see exactly what were talking about. Otherwise hit me or luser kid up if you have any other questions. We've both done enough of these to know whatever you need to know
