Default h22a1 80 shot direct port???

ok i've search and didn't find the answer i need or so much agrument that i dont' understand. here is the deal for a month now i been thinking about nitrous (zex wet ) on my h22a1 i been researching and some say 75 is right for the h series and some say it is too much and other say 80 is fine. ok today i went to the performance shop and the mechanic told me that on my engine (h22a1) 80 shot direct port zex wet shot is safe on mine as long as i dont spray all the time.. is this too much for my engine? h22a1 has around 190 hp? so my question is should i get it or is it too much? MY ENGINE IS ALL STOCK...but if getting zex is safe then i will get fuel pump, intake, headers, lightweigh flywheel, clutch, but i need to know now is, is 80 shot direct port a good idea or bad? (im just planning on spray only when i go the raceway...)

ok well i havent done nitrous and here are my reasons...

risk of detonation

do not have forged pistons/weak ring lands on stock pistons

this is my street car and even though i want it to be fast, i want it to last so i find other alternatves

That much nitrous with a stock setup is asking for trouble. You need better pistons and rings.

I think what they are suggesting is not using nitrous at all. And I second that. The risk if proper ******* your engine is pretty high. The risk of you doing something stupid and killing others is probably even higher. The problem with your stock bone engine is that the pistons are weak and will bust causing you to rebuild.

75 shot can easily be taken by a healthy h22. Be sure to get it tuned.

Exactly. Stress the word Healthy.
As long as you don't abuse the **** out of it - i don't see a problem why you can't do it. Make sure you have something like an s300 or something to adjust the timing when the nitrous is activated. With that, you'll be good to go.

im only going to use it a the raceway. so i guess im not going to abuse it..how is it dangerous for others if im not going around spray(like i said im going to only used the nitrous on the strip) should i just go 50 shot just to be safe ? or is that still a bad idea?

Like we said before - a 75 shot is okay. Its direct port so its not bad at all. If you just did a wet shot(non-direct port) you would have some problems in the future. 75 shot is perfectly fine for you. You can do 50 if you want. When you buy the kit, it'll have nozzles for whatever setting you want. Way down to 35 i believe. Go for it.
