Question about Prelude speaker system
I have a 1995 Prelude Si and I was wondering what kind of speakers are in the front, are there 6.5" woofers in the door with the tweeters in the dash? (component system) or is it just regular 6.5" speakers in the door? Please let me know because I have to replace a speaker in front and want to know if I need to get a component system or just a set of speakers. Thanks in advance.

the cover things on either end of the dash just pop right off... if it didn't come with tweeters, you can definitely fit them in there.

Why does it make a difference?> If you want to just get a set of door speakers then do that. The prelude I have now has alpine components (mid drivers in the door and tweets in the dash). You can either put mids in your doors or you can run the 6.5's with the built in tweeters
what are those dash speaker cover things for anyways if nothing comes in there?

Oh, well i thought that there were tweeters in the dash because i remember seeing them when i took off the covers unless i'm remembering wrong, and i thought it had a 6 speaker stock sound system. Just wondering what speakers come with it cause i've never really heard for sure.

^ what he said. it doesn't really matter what you have now... if you're buying new speakers, you can either get components or just use 3 (or 4)-ways up front.

yeah either or works. id go with components because it sets a better sound stage. you want your tweets up high so they hit you before they start bouncing around your car. at least it sounds better that way to me.
