Default main relay question

I have a 91 civic hatch with a 1st gen b16a swap and i think but i'm not for sure that my main relay is fried my question is how many times is it supposed to click 1 or 2?

Well, twice, actually. When you first turn the key to run, it will click. About 2 seconds later, as the check engine light goes, it will click again. It re-energizes again once the engine is started, so I guess you could really say it clicks three times. But then, it clicks once more when you turn the car off....what was the question???
