car was laggin......then my car jus died out no where.....problem?
car:96 ek with a jdm b18c
i was driving my car today on the highway and all of a sudden it started to lag. what i mean by lag is that is didnt pull as hard as it usually does, and it seemed to sputter a bit...at idle it seemed to sputter also. i drove to my destination figured it was maybe bad fuel or a clogged fuel filter? that was causing it to lag and sputter.
3 hours later i went to drive it and was on the highway still same problem......and then it jus died on me outta no where. NO CEL's, sparkplugs are only 2 months old, used 93 octane from bp gas. I tried push starting it but car would not turn on at all. it cranks when i try to start it reguarly but doesnt actually start. i believe it started once but shut off right away. could is be that the motor is being starved of fuel?.......am not sure......i am going to take a look at it tom but before i do i want some expert advice from anyone as to what could be the cause.
ANY INPUT is appreciated
what could the cause of the problem be?
i am thinking mayb
1. clogged fuel filter?
2. could the stock DX fuel pump have gone bad?
3. clogged injectors?

check fuel, spark. Try letting the car cool down for about 3 hours and trying again. If it starts it may be your main relay. Like i said if u have fuel pressure its not it.
