Default Hydraulic pump problems

Well my car is currently in the shop cause the other day on my way home i came up to a light and pressed in on my clutch and it didn't disengage so i had to pull my car out of gear kill it put it back in gear and restart it then drive home without a clutch. So I was wondering if anyone had any experience with this before and what was wrong and how much did it cost. I was thinking their might be a problem with my hydraulic pump cause it has pleanty of fluid and I know it's not the clutch cause it hasn't been slipping at all recently.

there is no hydraulic pump. you must have air in the lines or something. the hydro clutch is easy theres just the clutch master cylinder what your pedal goes to (these are known to go bad) and the slave cylinder what is on the tranny. check for leaks by your clutch pedal or on the front of the tranny.

Well I guess it was my tranny well at least that's what the guy at the shop told me. yeah and it's gonna be $600 all together is that right. they said they have to do some crap with the flywheel too I can't remember but a good clutch should only be about $100 right I know I could get a stage one or two F1 racing clutch for that price but labor shouldn't be 500.
