Default 1st car mod

anyone reading this, the site says i can only post 5 times in a day whats up wit that
? i checked out the suspension system and it looks good, the subs are 2 orion h2 12.4s i dont think there that heavy. i want to be fast and sound good but i also want alot of nice, hrad hitting deep, and precise bass.

Id suggest suspension be your first mod. If not suspension then brakes. If youre gonna have a fast car you want to be able to stop it.

I'll be nice bfore the avergae H-T member comes in here and feaks out,

First, Welcome to Honda-Tech. The Flaming Capital of the Internet.

Anway, you'll find many/most people here know what they are talking about,
However, there are plenty who do not.

2: Search, use the Search feture (yea it sucks but use it)

ok, now, First mod. Other than Anti-Theft the commen first mods are
I/H/E
I = Intake
H = Header
E = Exhuast

Now, you said you want to go turbo, so the I/H would be replaced with Charge Pipes and Turbo Manifold.

Would you be buying a kit or peicing togther one?

Most people research Turbo's for about a year before buying/putting one together.

Its like shoes, You dont want one too big. And you dont want one too small.
You need to find the one thats just right, for your use.

Susp. would be a nice first upgrade.
A fast car is no fun if you cant handle it.
Where as a not so fast car can be very fun if it handles well.

We need to know what you expect from the car, what you are going to use it for?

This wil be a daily driven car right? WIth some Dragrcing, Auto-x, track racing,
on the side?

well, welcome and have fun.

Also, post some pics of the Integra

ok, so what kind of suspension system, whats a good site to look at for parts? thanks, everyday use and racing on the side. I will just be entering the racing circuit. I want a kit already put together, Im afraid i'l screw something up on my first go round so i'll leave it to the pro's.

suspension:

I as many other will say

KY/GC Setup.

Koni Yellows Shocks $515
Ground Controle Coilovers $250

This is by far one of the most commen setups you will find.
Many Auto-x Users and Daily drivers will swear by this setup.

If you want even more, get some Strut bars, (not Cheap Ebay ones)
and some Anti-Sway bars

Bump, WHat else you need to know? OTHER H-T members come in and help too.

WE NEED TO KNOW YOU BUDGET for susp. mods etc...

He can take them out and leave them at the house when he goes to race.

As always, a first mod should be better tires. That is the only part of your car that should touch the ground.

spend your money on maintenance first...

no one wants to see a slammed turbo integra that has blown shocks and worn 200k brake pads snap a timing belt and then have all your radiator hoses pop off and spray coolant everywhere...

fix it first, read about mods, make up your mind, and than buy parts

one, if its going to be raced, no body kit, please. For rims, i would say rotas or if hes got the blades, keep those for a while, dont know about tires, just make sure its lo pro. if he wants lights, go with some HIDs 8-12k output, a type r lip would go nice, leather interior (hopefully stock) dc sport header (or skip that if going turbo) , skunk2 is good for intake many and throttle body, and go greddy for full exhaust, a cf hood also looks clean on any teg.

just looked at that body kit, and for the sake of integra owners across the world, please dont let him get that!! talk him out of that please!!! also tell him to go with a better turbo kit, like greddy, or if he wants that low rpm power, a jackson racing s/c will go nicley.
