Checkout this EF9 SiR
I saw this at the TAS '06 as I was leaving on the last day. The guy wouldn't open the hood but he said he was running a high compression 2.0l VTEC motor that produced 250whp.... yes, 250 (NA) whp. I wish I would have seen this car earlier. Oh yeah, it's a circuit car that might see the streets every once in a while. The only thing I didn't like was the wing.

The car is actually really nice in person and the owner was mondo cool after I spoke Japanese to him. The widebody kit is functional. Most of the removeable panels were replaced with dry carbon pieces. The car is still being builit because the dry carbon dash panel wasn't finished and they have yet to tune the motor.
I realize many of you guys probably will not like this car but I would rather see a functional race car than another EF rotting or headed to the crusher.
I will be searching for another EF9 SiR race base after I get my Teg back on the road.

honestly i dont like it at all i think it should be driven off a cliff
i wonder what kinda 2.0 high compression 250whp motor hes got under there it looks to me like hes still obd0 from the ecu arent the obd1 and obd2 ecu's different?? what 2.0l vtec motors did them make that was obd0?? unless its converted over

Of course it was converted over. He converted half the damn car do you think he lacks the ability to change the distributor and a couple of wires? And no, the Prelude B20's were non-vtec. This car is interesting, I don't actually even mind the Toyota front end conversion (either a Vitz or MRS) but I can't stand the rear 1/4 of the car.
Is what far stretched? It's a RACE MOTOR! High compression, larger cams, stronger rods, balanced assy (crank, rods, pistons, dampner), dry sump, larger TB..... the whole enchilada

the front is cool, the rear is mehh. i like like clean stock cars these days, but a well executed modified is appreciable every once in awhile. the wide body rex on the new bonzai is questionable.
its ugly but prob functional aerodynamics wise(although i dont know all that much about that)...it does look like it has a killer air jack system
