Honda makes a plug for the antenna hole on JDM ITR's.

So you prefer the appearance provided by entirely removing the antennae over the option of ever listening to the radio? Why not just install a switch in the power antennae lead, so that it can be kept in the retracted position unless it is needed?

well, i actually thought of that, and i might still do it one day, if i ever get around to fixing the stock antenna. i swapped it out years ago with the s2k only because the stock stopped retracting like it should - common problem, as you know.

reception always sucked with the s2k, so i wired in a home receiver antenna. it only improved it marginally. that said, one thing that always bothered me about the s2k antenna was that it was an aesthetic mod under the guise of being functional. so even though i do like the look, it felt.. incomplete.

so i opted for the plug, and i still have the home receiver antenna wired in there. if it hangs outside of the hatch, reception is perfect. i'll fiddle with it before throwing my interior back in (a whole other story). but yeah, if that doesn't work as i like, yeah, i'll probably visit the switch on stock.

right now i'm really liking that plug though.

There are plenty of antennas that are made to be hooked up inside the car.........mine is completely shaved..............couldnt stand the look of a remote control car with the antenna

I'm pretty sure I can go to home depot or lowes and find a rubber plug exactly like that for a whole lot less than 7$!!

looks kinda weird. shoulda kept the antenna.

i mean, theres a hole, so u cover it with a plug? so, if there a scratch on ur paint, ur cover it with tape?

haha.

dumbest comment ever. At least he has the option of putting the antenna back on if he decides to sell the car.

i'm shaving my antenna right now. i never listen to the radio enyways, but if you wanted to, you could run a wire up teh length of your A-pillar and that should work as an antenna.
