DPFI to MPFI idleing too high
I finished my swap, everything looked good. When I started it, the idle almost red lined. I switched the wires at the TPS, there aren't any vacum hose leaks MAP sensor is good, throttle cable is right, adjusted idle screw. I just can't figure it anyone got some info?
Checked for leaks again, sure enough problem solved... for about 10 mins. Thats about how long I let run. When I turned it off it wouldn't start again. ECU is giving me 6, 10, 13. They are all sensors, I'm sure they didn't all go bad at once. Maybe wiring is screwed somewhere. Also I used my original harness and just took plugs of the si harness and there is one extra plug that doesn't plug into anything is that normal? oh yeah the mpfi that I used has an EGR sensor on it but I got nowhere to hook it up. will that effect engine performance should I try to hook it up?

Multiple codes are usually ground wires not connected at the
thermostat housing..
If the manifold you are using has an EGR valve,
That is probably for an HF and is not going to give
much in terms of performance..Hope it did not cost much..

Yes the car was an hf model but it had an si ditributor on it I think.I went to autozone and the part number was that of an si. I paid $300 dollars for the whole car. Already took out what I bought it for; both axles almost the whole interior including seats the windsheild both doors radiator and both fans and some other stuff. The mpfi was just an unexpected bonus. Do you think that was a decent deal?
Either way a mpfi is better than dpfi isn't it??

An HF parts car is great..I have one myself..
Mine came with a D16a6 which was an extra bonus...
>HF and Si distributors are the same.
>The HF exhaust manifold can be used for a budget turbo set-up.
>The HF axles are smaller at the hubs so will only work
with HF hubs.
If your goal is performance,
You would be better off with a Si intake and ECU...
Fuel economy was the idea with the HF..

I got the pm6 so the only difference is the intake? how about resisitor box and the injectors and wiring? would you wire it the same as if you were doing a swap with the si? and what about that damn plug just hanging there? This may be stupid but the colors on the wires to that plug should run to the ecu, no? and if so shouldn't I be able to tell by looking at a wireing diagram what that plug is for? What do you mean the axles are smaller are they shorter? I have the hubs should i switch them both?

The leftovers plugs are pictured at the bottom:

Diffference is size of intake manifold and smaller injectors..
The HF axles will fit an Si or DX tranmission,
but will only fit the HF hub.. it is smaller and has less number of splines..
Better off with the DX or Si axles..

Unless they have been swapped out,
Where the axle goes into the wheel/hub, is smaller..
I think it is 26 versis 28 splines..

axles fit perfect, I guess they were previously swapped out. Got all the bugs out and the swap is done and purring great. Still have to do my doors and interior. but I got to put all that on hold now, I bought a 94 civic ex with the vtec with 140k for $350!!! All it needs is a new head gasket (well I hope thats all it needs) either way I still think its a good deal. In the future I hope to convert to a manual or just put the vtec in my crx.anyway thanks for all your help. live long and prosper
