Alright there is nothing else i can think of, the only thing i didn't do was a compression test. The car was sitting for over a year and it smells like the gas is bad. I know it is bad, but would shitty gas prevent it from starting. IT hiccups a lot and sounds like it is about to run but it doesn't I tried starting fluid and that helps it hiccup more, but resulting in nothing. So could the gas be so bad that it doesn't start?

 

its possible but it should still start. Check your cam timing and spark. Drain the gas if you think thats it.

Samething happened with my dad's ford windstar(told him to donate that junk but he loevs it) but it was an overnight thing. Anyways, it turned out to be the coil that was bad. Replaced it, charged the battery and that solved the problem. Same w/my honda civic but I had to change the whole distributor due to oil leaking. Start with that.Also, you might want to check the spark plug wires and make sure they're in the correct order =D

 

drain the gas and do a tune up. change everything. gas begins to breakdown after a week of sitting. after a while it starts to turn to jelly.

 

timing is perfect, I triple checked that. could i solve the weak gas with octane booster so I don't have to drain it? Is there anyway to tell if the spark is too weak besides the color of it? like some kind of tool that reads the spark or something?

Just wondering if you solved the problem. I might have bad gas too cause my car won't start (it turns over tho) after sitting with 3/4s of gas for 2.5 years. Was it bad gas causing your problem?
