I moved from Quebec to Kelowna,BC and just want to know if i have to worry about thiefs here. My itr is still at Quebec right now, in 4 years no one ever try to steal it even if it was sleeping outside every nights. Im thinking of bringing my itr in kelowna next summer and i want to know if its safe here. Dont know either if they got a race track in the okanagan area.

 

Kelowna is pretty safe, not many ITR's up there

Compared to other regions of the country, I think where I live is probably one of the safest communities. However, I dont take that for granted. Ive been keeping my gaurd up since day one (it gets old) and its going to stay that way.

 

hey man, i'm from Kelowna BC, i would say its much safer then larger cities here, ppl steal to joy ride more then chop shop here, more break in then whole car missing.

as for racing, we have autocross thats starting to get pretty popular here

 

Kelowna shouln't be too bad. I don't have first hand experience but I've got friends up there and they don't see car theft as a major problem. Just take the necessary measures to make sure it stays in your possession. ie: alarm, club, garage(if possible), and any other precaution. You can't be too careful.

There is a track in Ashcroft which isn't too far away from Kelowna.

 

went to kelowna last year for a snowboarding trip. all i have to say is that you won't be driving your R in the winter at least.
