i have a b18c1 with a completely stock bottom-end. the head was rebuilt with all new seals, guides, itr valves, portflow dual springs and retainers, stock gsr cams and gears. basically everything in the head is new. also have i/h/e and carsound cat. bolted everything together about 4k miles ago. about 100 miles ago car stalled out and wouldn't get spark. i had a brand new distributor for it laying around swapped it and ran perfectly for another 50 miles or so.

driving on the highway the car bogged and stalled. i stopped and restarted the car and when i popped the hood and there was small amounts of white smoke steadily coming from the intake, oil breather, and underneath the intake manifold(possibly pcv or oil box? not sure) i had the car towed home thinking the head gasket was shot or rings. i drained oil and coolant and both are normal. pulled the plugs and there's no oil deposits, they look a little rich but nothing extreme.

I tried to restart the car and just cranks with no spark. checked all the grounds/wiring/fuses, same thing. i would think it would be just a distributor/ignition issue but i'm not sure with the white smoke. if this happened to anyone else or any ideas; please let me know...thanks in advance

 

any ideas or should i just troubleshoot the no spark as usual? i've had my share of distributor issues in my years with honda(s) but i've never had any smoke involved...thanks again
