Default CEL codes system to lean and trim malfunction

I had my car quick scanned with a diagnostic yesterday and found out i'm getting these 2 codes. But not much comes up when i searched fuel trim malfunction?? Anyone have any input

yea i've already done this and got CEL 45 System Too Lean or Too Rich malfunction in the fuel monitoring systems, but whats the trim malfunction all about?

i bet the fuel trim malfunction has something to do with it running lean, both codes seems like they go hand in hand with your situation

so all it means is your running lean, make sure you have enough fuel psi and flow. fuel trim is the map tables. It's hard to explain and i don't know it all yet.
your running lean so your fuel trim is going to be off. Theres short term and long term fuel trims. short is real time and long term varies like every 30 sec or so.

Fuel trim is not user adjustable (on stock ecu). Check the fuel pressure to see if it is within spec. If it is, raise the pressure to the upper end of the spec (if you have fpr). Check your fuel lines to see if they are kinked. Change the fuel filter(if you haven't in a while). Fuel pump could be going up. Injector could be clogged or dirty. Good luck. Less us know what the solution is?
