88 civic won't START..............PERIOD!

88 civic won't START..............PERIOD!
i have an 88'civic DX(dual point injection) with stock motor,when i turn the key to start NO fire or fuel.before it really did'nt start i had to spray carb cleaner into the throttle body for it to start and stay starting.also when you turn the key to acc.right before you get ready to start it the ECU does NOT blink at all and CHECK eng.light does NOT go away is stays constantly ON as soon as you turn the key.PLEASE HELP with any INFO that would get me to START this thing.............THANKS!
