the following problems with the car :

1.The clock does not work and cig outlet( what fuse or relay is this?)

2. The car over heats after a few min of driving. when the A/C is put on the car does not over heat(the fans kick in). can this be a relay ??? i changed the thermastat.

3. The fuel gauge comes on and off . ( do i need a new cluster?)

The car has 159,xxx

You might try jumpering the temp sensor plug at the T-stat to see if the fans run.

ok i tried changing the relays by the fan and it worked with no problems. but then after a few min gone by the relays burned out again and the car began to over heat. can the fans be the problem ? what can cause this?

you are drawing too much current. your fan might have a lot of resistance to turning (bearing gone bad) in it causing it to draw more current and cooking your relay.

one way to check the fan is to turn it by hand. IF it feels hard to turn and does not spin freely, repalce it.
