if you bought the whole upper control arm with the ball joint it should be just plug and play. i bought one off ebay cuz my balljoint was clicking when i turned. Slapped in the ebay one and its been good to me with no weird noises.

when u say clicking sound, is it in rapid succession ?
i know i have bad bushings on my skunk2 upper control arms causing squeaking sounds
but once in a while, i hear a quiet click, could that be from bad ball joints ?

probably. Its a random occurance. Usually if your turning and you hear a reoccuring click, its 99% gonna be your cv joints on your axle. If you get random clicks at stops or turns, its probably a bad ball bushing in either the UCA or LCA.
