If you want to bring the car up north a bit to the big city of Hanford, CA I can do the labor for $600 if you have all the parts. let me know. (559)633-0376 Stephen
I did it to my 95SE about 8 months ago.
Took me about 6 months to gather all parts. Spent $924 for all parts at junk yards and EBAY.
Did it and took me 1 week with help from Stepdad. And that was working only a few hours everyday. The hardest part was installing the clutch pedal, you only have so little room to bolt it in. Terrible little spot. But everything else was straight foward.
Also, you will have to customize the hard clutch lines cause we had to bend and run them over top of valve cover because basically you would have to pull the engine to install them the way they are from the factory.

As a matter of fact I know of a very repuitable place in so cal that will do it for you for a extremely reasonable price. I just had mine done there. Its called holeshot racing in Lake Elsinore. He has many cover shots in magazines such as honda tuning mostly for his write-ups on the k20 swaps.

you have your clutch line running over top of the motor??? thats kinda shitty man....i did my conversion with the motor out...but at the least you could have run it around the back of the motor and made some custom brackets....

so, the posts i've found... is that the real list of equipment that you need? and $924 isn't too bad if my price ballpark is there. someone told me i was looking at 2,500 for transmission alone!! i guess i could take it somewhere to get it done for a reasonable price, lake elsinore isn't too far away. i might try it myself, i kinda would feel more hardcore if i did something of this magnitude to my own car... I LOVE MY PRELUDE!
Where I had mine done all I did was find all the parts needed costing me about 1g and then took it in to the shop. He charges very minimal (about 900) and has very extensive knowledge on all honda's. I too would of liked to do it myself, but sadly am in college now with no garage and tools. If I was you I would talk to the guy because he can get a deal on the tranny, then ask him to map out how he did it, and then do it yourself if your ready for it. Good luck
try to run em behind the engine with it installed fully...its impossible...its actually a decent custom job...thanks for the support...as least i didnt look/pay for someone to do it for me..i managed to do it myself..
