Default engine question

I am buying an 01 PY ITR that was stripped. Should I go ahead and buy a C5 or get a K series swap so i cna have a 6sp? There is a USDM B18C5 out of an 00 for sale local for $3200 that comes with everything I need, but I really want a 6sp.
What would you do?

since it's stripped and you're starting from scratch go with the K motor, spend the extra money and time, it's worth it, and there's a few guys in here who have Ks in thier ITRs that will be able to help out with questions you might have

I dont think getting a K20 is going to be worth the extra money especially when your only spending 3200 for a COMPLETE type R swap.

DONT THINK your going to be that much faster then a b18c5 by just getting a k20. If you wanna notice a difference, get boost. Boosting your caR would get you way better numbers and if you boost a b18b you'll even have enough money to build the motor so it'll be semi-reliable. And if you wanna track your car and dont think boost is reliable, get the b18c5

$3200 is a good deal for a complete type R swap
