God I know I'm gonna regret asking this... but my question is... is anyone aware of someone attempting to put a honda powerplant into an old bug? This idea came to me after seeing the Ariel Atom of course.

I've seen a picture on here with a B-series swapped VW Bug.

dunno about a Kseries in a VW bug, but my friend & coworker dropped a STi motor into his bug....aka VWRX. Pretty much customize/fabricated the whole swap himself (made his own motor mounts etc.)

On google, I can only find people mentioning the '67 bug that has a b16 in it. No pics or technical information

thas actualy a nice drop in since the motor layout is pretty simiar between the bug and scuby motors

is it just me or is the engine backwards = transmission turning the wrong way....

Thats actually a genuine '73 911 porsche tach.
He'll be upgrading to a bad asssser '96 911 Porsche tach w/mini onboard computer (showing vehicle speed & engine temp) soon..

You might be thinking of a B-series engine which spin backasswards.

Bringing this thread back to life... sorry. Maybe there is an update about a Kswap or Bswap into a bug. I just recently acquired a 69 Karmann Ghia. I want to swap a Honda motor in it....
