na, My car dosnet really start pulling hard untill 3rd gear. I find that when I race cars that are right at my level I usually lag behind untill I hit 3rd then I start pulling on them. I have some friends that pull hard off the launch and not as hard later on in the run. it all depends on the car.

its a bit easier with a n/a but good luck with a boosted car as you have no idea what type of powerband it has. The power is consistent in NA applications so you could actually guesstimate the 1/4 based on the 1/8 60ft 330 ET/MPH. Again I am not saying you would know the exact time but it will land you there -/+.2 based on the factors I mentioned.

Post your 1/8 mile time, along with your set-up, car, weight, tires, ect.
And I'm shure well give you a good "guesstamant" of what it "might" run.

General rule of thumb is to take your 1/8 mile and multiply that by 1.55. But remember, we drive FWD cars and we are lighter than other cars. As someone said before, it is harder to ESTIMATE your time if you have a turbo or nitrous. But x1.55 will give you a close estimate.

as said above, this is only an estimate.there are many variables.

i just tryed it compares to some of my timeslips for example.

8th mile ET....8.7772x 1.55 = 13.6046...actual ET, 13.6030, and difference of .0016

8th mile ET 8.7948 x1.55=13.6319...actual ET, 13.6199, difference of .0120

pretty damn close if you ask me.

that's a cool one too, although it seems very optimistic.according to it,my very mild street setup(around 450WHP.haven't weighed car lately, but i'm guessing 2400lbs) that i'm putting together should be good for VERY low 10 second, almost 9 second ETs

Although those websites are great for estimates they do not take many of the most important variables into consideration when calculating times.

NHRA has a conversion chart for 1/8 to 1/4 mile, but it's based on all motor, rear wheel drive cars. It's a little off when used for front wheel drive, because of the different 60 foots. But someone who's good with excel or something like that could probably make it work. It's way off for turbo cars, but again, someone could probably tweak it and make it work. This is likely the best starting point, since NHRA's been doing this kind of thing for "a while now".

I thought I had a copy of it, but I can't find it. Maybe someone at NHRA can fax a copy of it, and one you guys who are good with formulas could update it for FWD and turbos.
