Default hit a deer.

i hit a deer tonight at like 20-25 mph tonight, luckly didn't do much damage at all, the hood is ok but it hit on the drivers side front fender. Its pretty bent up, and the paint chipped off, but how do i get it off, because im just going to go to the junkyard to pick up another one. Also, the parking light on the drivers side broke, and i need to know how to get all the pieces out and how to replace that. All the wiring is intact, and the fender is dented, but it did not push thru into the engine compartment. so i should be okay with just taking it off and replacing it with a new one?

you might want to get your wheels checked out just in case. an impact like that would probably knock your wheels out of alignment.

The deer in the freezer?
Between running off the road during last weeks rain, and now hitting deer; it's becoming increasingly dangerous for drivers in Connecticut. You should come across the border into Rhode Island, where it's A LOT safer to drive.

Besides the bolts across the top, I believe there's one behind the corner lamp and two others at the door opening.

If you go to a local "Pick & Pull", taking it off will be the education you need to get it on your car.

haha i know. stupid ct. it was a big deer. and it pretty much hit me on the side.. i was almost completely stopped, because i figure i wasn't actually doing 25... since i braked and the speed limit was 25 and i don't speed after 12 since im supposed to be home. I don't think the wheels are out of alignment because i drove home and it didn't pull or anything. Im gunna go check on how hard its going to get off right now.. and go see if i can find a place to get parts around here.

wow i wish i had some pictures to help you out but here are the steps....

1. Pop hood.

2. Drop front bumper, there should be screws on there that will hold it in place as
well as on the driver side by the inner fender there is a bolt that will meet up with the bumper and fender.

3. remove push tabs on inner fender liner, use a flat head to unsrew them out and then pull them out.

4. Once you have removed the bumper there are two bolts directly under the corner lmap that bolts the fender to the frame of the car. (you'll see it)

5. Open the Driver side door and look for the bolts that hold the fender there should be around one or two at the top and like two more around the bottom near the side skirt

6. Also when u upen the hood on the driverside there is the fender rail or w/e and
theres about 6 bolts that are on that side

7. just pop the fender off.

and i am assuming you need to replace your factory corner light?

there is just one screw that holds the corner light thats ontop on the lamp its self its like a little arm unscrew that and pop it off.
