Default check out my custom dollies

i just bolted them to a block of 4x4 and then mounted them to where hte cross member should be right now. i needed these so i can get my car out of the shop and into a paint booth to lay some color on the bay

did you use long through bolts? i would be worried about the wheel snagging a crack or something and just splitting the wood.

they are polyurethane wheels cracking is impossible and yes i have 2 long bolt all the way through. also my car has no interior, dash seats everything is gutted. the car can't way more then 1500 pounds and these things are rated for like 1800 pounds

i dont know what u are all worried about they are bolted right to the frame and they are very solid

With as big as the wheels are... I see no problem with it what so ever. If the casters used would have a been a bit smaller, I would worry.

id be worried too... 2 bolts holding it in means you have a folding point. If you hit a bump or something to hard, the block can try and fold backwards from the pressure. Its either gonna bend the floor or break out the bolts.

I think he was saying that you would snag a crack in whatever you were rolling it over and crack the 4x4 if you were pushing the car forward or backward since the line of push is inline with the grain of the wood.

They look like good casters but the 4x4 is the weak link in that setup but it definetly should get the job done for their intended purpose.
