i have a 95 accord lx v6 that has the srs light on. the question is does this come on after 70k miles to remind you to have the srs inspected or does the light only come on after failures?

Nope ..no service reminder for SRS at any miles that i am aware of,, i would take it to dealer and have it chelked out ..some SRS components are lifetime warranty..

yeah but they will tag you for at least $80 to run the test right? cuz i have a 93 EX Accord and mine comes on intermittantly as well. i am also thinking to replace my steering wheel with an aftermarket steering wheel so my airbag will go bye-bye anyhow...

 

If the repair is under warranty (seatbelts) they can't charge you. If the part is not under warranty (everything else) they normally charge 1 hour of labor to pull codes and find the problem.
