Default 64MM GSR THROTTLE BODY AND SKUNK2 INTAKE MANIFOLD.

THIS IS GOING ON A 97 GSR c1
So im putting on my 64mm gsr tb (obd2) and skunk2 manifold on this sunday! Ive got the ITR bracket/cable and an ls throttle body pulley (the **** that the cable wraps around!) lol
I ordered new GSR gaskets for the tb and manifold to head.

now my question is, what did i do wrong (if anything) or should it go smooth? Ive heard of HORRIBLE idle issues and all sorts of wierd stuff. Am i going to run rich/lean?
Other than the TB and manifold, ive got skunk2 stage1 cams, JDM itr header/hi flow cat/rsr exmag and injen SRI.

Lemme know what else i need before i do this, and will the gsr gasket work or did i need a different one since im using a skunk2 IM? Thanks in advance.

-Don

you are doing everything right..well you got all the right parts so far:

gsr throttle body gasket
gsr intake manifold gasket
itr throttle body pulley
itr throttle cable
non gsr throttle body pulley

If your install goes right, your car should run perfectly fine, like how it does right now, its just that you wont have the secondary butterflies. Which ecu do you plan on running? Oh yeah, it doesnt hurt to replace the fuel filter while your doing the install, thats if it hasnt been replaced in a long time... good luck!

The new inatke manifold will alter your tune a fair bit - v-tec point and what not will be a tad out also.

Will be worth putting it on a dyno to make sure its not too lean anywhere

im running a p28 with a skunk2 copy base map (using crome).
Ive got my vtec at 5700 right now (it would bog WAY too much at the stock 4400 with the bigger cams haha). I was told by my buddy who burnt the basemap that the secondaries were always open with the p28. I could be wrong. Either way, ill hit the dyno in a week or so. Just wanted to make sure i was doin it all right!
Like i said, ive heard of cars idling like crap afterwards
Think 170whp and 135tq is a possible # with my mods? Clutch/flywheel is next!

hey i have a question about that setup? do you really need the ls throttle body pulley on to run with skunk2 IM for b16? or can you just stick with a b16 throttle body

Only on a GSR do you have to change the throttle pulley. Your B16 will not need a new throttle pulley
