What to do for tuning and a head gasket?
Because I lost my job I had to down grade my h22 build. Instead of sleeving and 89mm pistons I went with Type S pistons, and unless I get some money going real fast I’m not going to port and polish for now. My h23 crank rods, type S pistons and fly wheel are at the machine shop getting balanced and rebushed, once my bearings come in I can put my bottom end together. I can’t figure out my compression though. I have been no Cspeed’s compression calculator, but it is all guesses because I don’t know the cc of the pistons and they stick out of the hole. I want to stay around 12/1 so I’m pretty sure I need a thicker head gasket, but I know how thick any help?
Once I’m done I want to have it tuned. What is a reputable shop to go to(I’m in Madison WI) Other wise I would tune it my self with a friend at a shop in town with a dyno. Other then slight cam timing and A/F around 13 what ells would I need to know, I don’t really want to mess with ignition timing.
Any input help or suggestions on this would be appreciated. Thanks

Type S pistons are 11.1 compression. Milling your head or block and depending on the size of the head gasket will get you around 11.5-7. For tuning, King Motorsports is in Wisconsin.
