good luck to the N/A guys ... I think its inconceivable that a sport compact drag racing organization would take out all motor classes

seems nopi is intent on having an all-turbo series, even the new 'pro gt' class... aka, we don't want to lose the GM cars by restricting turbo sizes now allows for turbo mustangs


maybe nopi should do an all motor import vs domestics class, then they'll at least have an N/A class.... seems thats what they want anyway

 

If they don't have the classes. No allmotor cars should even go to the events to bracket race. I would bet that they make a whole lot of money off of those all motor cars.

 

Turbo mustangs are sick! I bet you a lot of import guys could build a better 4.6 DOHC mod motor then most domestic guys. 9's on radials for the same price as an 11 second honda.

SOrry guys I jumped the gun, wont know for sure till monday. The powers that be are meeting with the sponsor this weekend to partay.

 

Even if they do decide to keep the class I say boycott them. I can tell you right now that through all this waiting bullsh*t, we are racing NHRA and that's final. Its January 20th for God's sake and they can't make a decision!!!!

Sure we'll just sit here with our thumbs up our asses and play with ourselves while they figure out what direction they are going.

Good luck to all the T4 guys. I just saw a 6 speed Supra on a street tire burn a pass that would put the FWD cars on their asses and this was in the damn winter!

cause i like the comp4 style more then the nhra street stock style , i will be running some nopi events if they bring the comp4 back, i can understand the decisions they are trying to make,

i tell you one thing the event at Leicester, NY will have a ton of guys from canada if they have the all motor classes , if they don't there might be 10% of what would have been there...

This is true there are some pretty quick A/M cars in T.O

 

Anyone who is going to race Nopi next year needs to really think about that. Nopi does not care about you. They are not willing to invest money in you, why should you be willing to invest money in them? They refuse to run the class unless there is a sponsor but they are willing to add turbo classes without one. Face it, Nopi is trying to drop the all motor classes because they don't think they go fast enough for the crowd.

At least they are still going to have Nopi Chic, I would have hated to lose that class...

 

well everyone has an oppinoin about these things , the times i had attended there races to crew for somones car i was introduced to the guys that run it, and they made me feel at home. All the staff are cool guys

if nhra didn't have bfg sponsorship there wouldn't be a street stock class , so you have to think about it like that.

i may run 1 or 2 nhra events but i would rather be running slicks...thats what it boils down to me.

 

1. The NHRA will make you feel the same way, they are really nice guys.

2. From what I was told, they was going to be an all motor street car class and then BFG offered to sponsor it.

 

a few of the guys i talked to were cool, not knocking them at all, just saying i like nopi as well , without bfg there isn't a ss class trust me.

in my eyes these 2 classes are 2 different styles i am not saying i won't run nhra i am just saying i want to be able to run nopi cause i like slicks!!! LOL

i have been able to go 12.3 in street stock trim, but w/ alot of wheel hop and some axle damage.

 

i actually had some stuff lined up to cut my traveling costs in HALF following the nopi series. now that the all motor class is getting dissed.......that idea/plan just went down the toilet.

im real curiuos to see how the ndra stuff turns out this year. the decisions they are making, to me, seem like its going to do more harm than good. but then again, what do i know.

i still plan on racing ndra, nhra, boti, and idrc. either way....i'll be there

yeah, and mine were dss 2s. the bearings on the tripod broke apart.
although they did have a couple seasons of abuse on them


must be nice to know your going to have a class to race in......huh joe

 

i was really looking forward to the ny race. it would be cool to meet the all motor guys from canada.
